Uyghur nasheeds (songs without music) published by İslam Awazi (Voice of Islam), the media arm of the “Turkestan Islamic Party”, an Islamic organisation fighting in Afghanistan-Pakistan and Syria that aims to liberate East Turkestan from Chinese occupation.
TIP was founded in 1997 and its member fought under the banner of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan against the Northern Alliance and later the US and NATO-Forces. Meanwhile it has carried several attacks in China, which considers the group as a terrorist organisation.
After the Syrian uprising had set off, the group sent members to fight against the Assad regime in the summer of 2014. Today the Islamic Party of Turkestan has become more active in its Syrian branch Katibat Turkestan than else where. Leading an insurgency in their home country seems impossible for now, as it is misses a safe ground in addition to the lack of resources in a region that is firmly gripped under China’s totalitarian state apparatus.
Sharqī Türkistān (East Turkestan) is part of greater Turkestan, meaning ”land of the Turks”. In 1949 China annexed the region and it became the country’s new province ”Xinjiang”, meaning ”New Borderland”. Uyghurs suffered much from the communist regime’s rule, which tries to eliminate religion from the hearts of the Turkic people and assimilate them culturally. Oppression still continues along restrictions on religious freedoms. Last year’s Ramadan (2016) witnessed a ban of fasting for civil servants, students and children. Many revolt attempts were made hitherto, but all harshly suppressed. Even protests are not tolerated, and may lead to terrible results and massacres, as it was the case in Urumqi 2009.
In 2018, the situation further escalated when the communist regime commenced a massive internment campaign to ‘rehabilitate’ the Muslims of Xinjiang. Millions of Uyghur and Kazakh believers where forcefully taken into Chinese camps, where they are undergoing an indoctrination process ranging from classes and lectures to dancing and eating pork.

أناشيد أويغورية أصدرها "صوت الإسلام"، الجانح الإعلاني للحزب الإسلامي التركستاني. تركستان الشرقية هي بلدة إسلامية في شرق آسيا محتلة من قبل الصينيين منذ ١٣٦٨هـ. وهي كانت محتلة قبل بسنين على أشكال مختلفة. ما يغير بسيطرة الشيوعيين للنظام كان تشديد الظلم والضغط على القيم الإسلامية والثقافة التركستانية التي يعانق أسسها. فمنع المسلمين من الصيام وأجبروا على أكل الخنزير. حتى أن بدئ عام ١٤٣٩ طود اعتقال سكان تركستان الشرقية المسلمين بالآلاف ليُحبسوا في مراكز الـ"تعليم" اللي يشبهوا أفعال النصارى للمؤمنين في الأندلس قبل ست مئة سنين. والله المستعان
