The Watsonville Public Library collection contains images from the 1880s to 1990s. A majority of the collection contains images from a series titled the "Shades of Watsonville." Subjects include photographic history of Watsonville residential life, commercial life, and flooding of the Pajaro River.

Description : Mr. Timoleone (Timo) Del Piero (c.1892-1982) and his wife Caterina Comelli Del Piero (c. 1894-1985), the parents of Rita Stringari. They had three children (Rita Stringari, Aurora Mitchell, and Richard Del Piero). Mr. Del Piero immigrated from Italy in 1921 and his wife followed the year after.
