Re: Beta Exit JavaScript |
Micah,
Good point, but I am confident that natural forces will always work against such ill-designed and thought schemes in the long-run. In nature, there always is a good balance between what looks good and how well something functions. Functionality and optimization always trump good looks and eye-candy in the long-run. The time wasted on making the Beta interface look good to the eyes of people who have 30 second attention spans is sad, when those resources could have been used to optimize the utilization of the site. In particular, more resources should have been allocated to optimizing the uploading of items of all types to the Archive ... after all 'Our' uploaded items are probably of much more importance than rolling pages and funky new looks. What good would those looks be without 'Our' Items?
Gerry
