After many successful downloads using CoreFTP, the past few days I have not been able to connect to any Internet Archive FTP servers. Below is a typical error message when attempting to log-in as anonymous. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

FTP is being phased out per a post from Brewster a little further down the page. Not sure if that's what's causing your specific problems, but I'd start familiarizing myself with HTTP downloaders...

Ok, sounds like you are right. Thanks. I'm very comfortable with the FTP, so hopefully I can become equally comfortable with the HTTP.
It says that the FTP uploads will remain possible - is this for only a certain remaining period of time or indefinitely?

I think FTP uploads will be in place for quite a while yet, but they're implementing HTTP uploads as well. Not sure what the rollout date is for that though.
