Texture roller designed for use as a pottery tool with a decorative scale pattern. It can also be used for building gaming miniature terrain. Update: January, 18th 2020 Added a second version Scale_Texture_Roller_2, this one has scales about 50% the size of the original. Please note that due to the smaller size the roller may not print well on an FDM printer, use of a resin printer for this version is recommended.

The foot tool is useful for shaping the base of the foot while at the same time undercutting the pot in preparation for wiring it off the wheel. Note: the tool works best on larger pieces.

A little pottery wheel and kiln set with cups, a bowl, tools, wedged clay, and a bag of clay. Pottery wheel spins, and all the pieces fit in the kiln perfectly when two copies are printed. The base of each cup and bowl locks into the wheel to help it stand. Just a fun project I did quickly this week for my sister's birthday (...she's a ceramicist) See more at: Instagram: @3DBrooklyn www.facebook.com/3DBROOKLYN 3D Brooklyn 3D Modeling, Laser Cutting and 3D Printing Service in Brooklyn New York....

The Engine Monitoring and Control System (E-MACS) display is a new concept for an engine instrument display, the purpose of which is to provide an enhanced means for a pilot to control and monitor aircraft engine performance. It provides graphically-presented information about performance capabilities, current performance, and engine component or subsystem operational conditions relative to nominal conditions. The concept was evaluated by sixteen pilot-subjects against a traditional,...

Knowledge of the spatial and temporal distribution of atmospheric species such as CO2, O3, H2O, and CH4 is important for understanding the chemistry and physical cycles involving Earth s atmosphere. Although several remote sensing techniques are suitable for such measurements they are considered high cost techniques involving complicated instrumentation. Therefore, simultaneous measurement of atmospheric species using a single remote sensing instrument is significant for minimizing cost, size...

This multimedia tells its own special story about the history of the Nordic and Baltic Countries from the beginning of the Middle Ages to the Late Renaissance. It is a story told by glasses, goblets and beakers from the time when, even in the North, glass started to appear to the tables of more noblemen and merchants. This article wants to propose a discussion on the ranking of ceramics as art, a few aspects in regards to Ceramic Art’s inclusion in Contemporary Art context. The author is calling into question the shallow division between Decorative and Major Arts, a century after the distinction disappeared. Respectively, the art object made with ceramic material, in the general context of Contemporary Art and a few ways of manifestations of this art that leads toward permanent transgressive dimensions of...

High-performance ceramics are often used for reusable spacecraft Thermal Protection Systems (TPS). Pre-ceramic polymers provide a suitable route for fabricating silicon carbide (SiC)–based TPS. It is known that different phases of SiC form upon pyrolysis depending on the temperature. This research investigates the effects of pyrolysis temperature and nucleation aids on SiC forming pre-ceramic polymers and how they influence the final phases. It is possible that the addition of seed powders...

A new technique is presented for the three dimensional recognition of symmetric objects from range images. Beginning from the implicit representation of quadrics, a set of ten coefficients is determined for symmetric objects like spheres, cones, cylinders, ellipsoids, and parallelepipeds. Instead of using these ten coefficients trying to fit them to smooth surfaces (patches) based on the traditional way of determining curvatures, a new approach based on two dimensional geometry is used. For...
