Designed a safety plug for common 12V plugs in RVs and cars. You can just plug it in, it sits nice and tight. To get it out you can print and use the key or use a screwdriver or key. Prints without supports.

Developed to protect K-12 students in crowded cafeteria environment. The previous guards purchased by the school would not stand up to the abuse of the students or the materials were too delicate to stand up to cleaning solutions. The model can be modified to fit any counter/cabinet dimensions. My first 3D printer design.

This door slide sits on top of a door. When the door is closed, slide it forward to catch the jamb to prevent the door from opening. The slide is accessible from both sides of the door. This does not require a peg to be screwed in to the door frame like common retail versions. This is for 30mm thick doors and 30 mm thick door jambs. The sealed doors has a longer catch arm to account for the seal.

I saw the ninja lock (genius), and a "rounded" aesthetic version, and a 40mm version, but nobody has made a rounded version for 40mm doors... so I made one. Tested on my doors (and my tike), printed with PETG at .4mm layer height, 40% infill, 60mms... Came out GREAT!

This is a clone of a simple drawer child lock from IKEA (PATRULL). For some stupid reason, these are no longer available in my country. With careful placement, it can also fit regular cabinet doors. The larger part is fixed inside the drawer/door, the small part should be fixed to the inner cabinet wall. I used 2x20mm wood screws. Opening: the drawer will extend slightly, push the arm to unlock and open. Closing: the lock will latch after the door is closed Here you can see the original...

There were no locks that I could find to purchase for making our can crusher toddler safe, so I designed this. The lock and the reinforcement should be printed in different directions. See the orientation on the Cura screenshot to see the direction for the lock to be printed. This will ensure maximum flex. The reinforcement is printed in the opposite direction to alleviate pressure along the seam of the print, which is the weakest point. It's held in place by passing the masonry screw used to...

Summary I just wanted somethign to cover outlets and secure cords so that my toddler can't screw with them. You will need a longer than normal #6 machine screw to secure the plate to the outlet, unscrew the cover to the outlet, put your longer #6 through the base plate and then the outlet cover, screw to wall, then just screw the cover onto that (i used m6's i think the holes are a bit under sized because i like to tap them, included the CAD so you can tweak it however you like easily.

Created this model because my current gate was damaging the wall causing dents and that each time a child would shake or lean against the gate it would fall down essentially rendering the purpose of the gate useless. This is a custom model and may not work with your gate / wall. I have provided a small diagram showing the important sizes of the model. You might have to alter the stl to suite your own situation. Edit: 1 July 2017 -- Added a gate holder for square edges if your wall is not...

Small key that fits in the top hinge to prevent the gate automatically locking shut and needing to be lifted to open again. Just lift the gate and slide into the recess in the top hinge. Handy if carrying shopping etc through the gate or you want your little one to be able to roam the house during the day, without having to go through the hassle of removing it from the doorway.

#General This is a simple latch for preventing a child to open a drawer from an IKEA BESTA cabinet. I used it for the two drawers of my TV cabinet. The latch is fastened using the screw from the holder for the shelf. #Printing I printed it with my Anet A8 using PLA. It is a tight fit und might need some tweaking. I have no longterm experience using this.

Not soft unless you print it with a flexi filament, but at least they're round and unlike the ones we bought that tape on these can't be pulled off by the rugrat. Two screws from the bottom side that don't go all the way through so no scars after they're removed.

I needed more keys to work with the magnetic child safety cabinet locks we got. These are designed to work with this magnet: https://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-0-7-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-3-per-Pack-07047HD/202526369 It was a quick design and no real way to print without support, but all the support scars are on the inside when assembled, so clean up is quick. Make sure you match the polarity with a lock before gluing everything up.

I tried to work on my FreeCAD skills, so I created another Child Safety Lock. It's easy to print and I like it. You can use Kindersicherung_U and Kindersicherung_O if the distance of the handles is not too far away. If the handles are far away mounted, you can use two parts of Kindersicherung_U and one part of Kindersicherung_O_O.

We have been using this gate for many years, and the main problem with the design is that it's unstable while open and gets unlodged easily. This hack keeps the upper support in place while the gate is open. It also gives better stability while closed, of course, we've had a few accidents with climbing kids. You have to sacrifice the finish of your door frame, but usually the gate will be in use for some years, so it might be worth the small task of patching and painting when the gate is no...

This is a remix of the Cupboard safety child lock by mza1979m to support setting the shaft length in OpenSCAD. Unfortunately, this cannot be used in Customizer as it doesn't support importing the original STL files, so you need to download and use OpenSCAD from https://www.openscad.org/ . Print the end latch from the original item, and you can use this to generate hooks of odd lengths to go with it.

there was a kitchen in our previous flat with an oldschool stove. It was too critical for me and the available child safety knobs were not working well in my eyes. So i designed that solution and used it for a while. We changed the stove with a modern one, so this solution was not needed anymore. Maybe someone else will find the solution usefull.

Childproofing the doors of our cabinets without damage. You also need nuts, washers and a m8 threaded rod. Look at the pics it should be self explainig. A hole-less version of the backside is included so you can just drill your own 8mm hole in it to make it fit your furniture. the hole on top of the latch can be used for a small pin to secure it. the clover version is for double doors.
