Ride Him, Cowboy , aka The Hawk , was the first of the six Warners Westerns starring John Wayne that came out in the early 30s. Like the others it has a runtime of under an hour, is in black & white and features pretty corny dialogue but is noticeably better than the three dreadful clunkers he was forced into doing for Harry Cohn at Columbia. And he was the headline star again. The Warners contract must have seemed like a release.

A self-released country cover album I came across at an antique mall. She was really talented, but sadly all I could find online about her was an obituary. The song titles are all wrong since Windows Media Player identified the album as a completely different one. The proper titles are "Strong Enough", "Honky Tonk", and "Where's the Fire". They're also out of order somehow (that's probably my fault). Strong Enough is actually the last song on the album.
