Ten days after BlogHer, four of its instigators lead a discussion about what made the conference special, from the way they organized it (what's a do-ocracy?) to the dynamics of respect and openness that contrasted with the usual one-upmanship of tech conferences. Subtitle: BlogHer Afterthoughts

The final show in the 2006 Scratch radio broadcasting era of Paul-Ternative Joe. Proving that we really did get better as we went along the final show turned out to be the most fun we've ever had, not just on the radio. Hilarious moments included the "wrong" version of Alien Ant Farm's Smooth Criminal played (according to Joe anyway) and subseqent comparisions between two versions, live on air, as well as two Monty Python songs back to back. We went crazy with the comedy clips too, as...

Hey man, look at us rocking out: We're on da RADIOOOOOOOO They're back! And also,....their fronts, you need to be three dimensional when you are on the radio....hard to speak and press buttons and such when you're two dimensional. Remember flat Stanley? Bit like that....but "ON DA RADIOOOOOO" (If only we'd played that song) Due to the cosmic success of our brief stint on Scratch Radio, word spread around Birmingham about the new audial (it's a word!!) phenomenan (do do dee do do.....)...

This is an attempt to gather together a complete, authoritative, and definitive collection of Blasting Trout Overbite's non-album recordings made during the 2002 to 2003 school year. A few songs appear here that were later released on albums, but only if they were recorded separately from those albums. All aspects of BTO's output are represented here -- indie-rock, chaotic noise, four-track experiments, folk, punk, improv, field recordings, answering machine messages, and other obscurities. In...
