I asked my fitter to make quick release latch for out rescue boat safety lines based on nice Auto Gate Latch by peaberry https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2998264 When I saw his make, well ... I was forced to make own design to show him how it should work. Here is a result (code included) with and without securing pin. It is intended to make from steel plate 4mm thick, dim.50x50mm, but for home use with low force PLA printout should be OK. If You want to make some changes, read code Enjoy!

Velbon QB-4LC remix - Quick Release fits the Videomate-400, CX-430, CX-440, DF-10ML, DF-40, T-3500, and V5000 tripods, and needs a 1/4"-20 camera screw. A quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows the user to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount. I remixed mine, because it needed some extra strength at the bottom to be used with a heavier lens. Printed in PLA 0.2mm 5...

Here is a quick release clamp and plate for DSLRs and other cameras. Made this because I needed a larger number of these that are compatible with other release plates. Bigger than these usually are (88x70x25mm) for stability. I printed this in Carbonfiber PETG at 0.150 mm resolution 5 perimeters top and bottom layers with 50% infill. Near indestructible. The 3/8-16, 1/4-20 and M6 threads may need to be cut again depending on how you print this. You also need two 25-30mm long springs from regular...

A friend bought a used tripod only to find that the quick release plate was not there. Tinkercad to the rescue. Just insert an M6 bolt that is cut to size and glue it in place. This is for a digital concepts tripod so if you are fortunate enough to have the same one and you have lost it and you have a 3D printer then today is your lucky day.

For some inexplicable reason, there about 1000 different variants of these common quick release buckles. I need some male ones to mate up with the female ones on my Hydra 4.5, so I spent a stupid amount of time refining this model, but it's pretty good now. The male buckle is quite close to the OEM part and holds up quite well in ABS (haven't tried PLA). There are a couple extras from my project in there but they're a bit more of a work in progress. The male and female keyholes on these will...

70mm - Wedge Style - Steering Wheel Quick Release - Remix (Remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4572839) The locking screw was in the way for my new button plate so I needed a different way to lock the release. This remix removes the locking screw path and related items so that both plates are now solid. I added a hole at the top of the mount. The wheel side has an expanded hole so a 5mm screw will pass through and then self tap into the base plate of the quick release and then...

This is a quick release plate designed to replace the Sirui TY-C10. I like how these plates are slim, light and still fit the arca-swiss standard - they're perfect for my old 35mm film cameras. But they are expensive too, so having one for each camera can be a considerable expense... so I designed and printed my own. There's also a tripod screw if you're some kind of scrooge, but be aware: there's a reason these screws are made out of metal. If you print it, make sure your settings and material...

Needed a quick release mount for my Amazon drag chain and I could find one on the site. The mount will allow me to quickly unhook my drag chain from the side of the case without the need for cable ties. I did add a small cable tie section to the bottom to be used at the connection with your wire loom. Just use some strong two sided sticky tape to mount the base to the case. Had a discussion with my neighbor about the possibility of 3d printing a small ish quick release mechanism. I said sure why not. Quick google search later, I found a few examples of how the mechanism works. spent about an hour to draw it up. You'll need: 4x m3 10mm 4x m3 nyloc nuts You might need to sand a few bits, tolerances are a tad tight (The support ridges also don't help) Reason for flat print orientation (hence the need for supports on a few of the bits) is so we can util the print...

Quick release replacement plate for Hama tripod type "Profil 78". My existing quick release plate broke due to wear and tear, so i created this simple plate. Took 20 minutes to create on thingiverse. I printed it with PETG, and with 80% infill. Though it is a small part, it still feels super solid. Fits snugly in the tripod socket. This is what 3d printers are for! Awesome and simple.

Most of available Quick Release (QR) systems are designed for DSLRs.These QR plates are quite big, not convenient for small compact cameras and the use of theses plates can render the the battery or memory card slot inaccessible. This low footprint QR system has been designed to solve these issues and the plates are compatible with the widespread RC2 Manfrotto clamp (with an adapter - www.thingiverse.com/thing:2615567).

This is a quick release nut that I designed for use with my 3D printer spool holder. By depressing the two buttons you can quickly slide the nut to a position along an M8 threaded rod. Alternately, I have included a couple of prototype solutions that ought to be more robust. The first is simply to cut a nut in half and...

A Lanyard or Medal Safety Clip This will take a 1 inch or 25mm wide ribbon. Pulling on the lanyard will result in the clip pulling apart so it doesn't get stuck. Once printed test the pushing together and pulling apart of the two pieces, if still to tight use a piece of sandpaper to rub down the small nodule on the male connector until you get the desired pull apart strength. Please post a make if you print one, it's always good to see one someone else has made.

Magnetic quick release keychain uses 8x3mm magnets. May require some scaling on the parts to get them to fit perfectly on your machine, however, I designed the part to allow some tolerance between printers. If you don't have magnets it still works without them. Only requires supports for the little nub coming out of one of the parts if you don't want it to be slightly droopy.
