My son wanted to design and print these for his friends at school. We designed them using Alibre Atom3D and sliced them with Cura. Note 1: The models are printed at 214 C until layer 66, at which time the temperature decreases 2 to 3 C. The temperature is decreased in order to bridge the back of the slider channel. The temperature is adjusted back to 214 C at layer 68 to finish the last 4 layers of the print. Depending on your cooling capacity you may need to adjust the temperature more or...

This is my first 'design' ever. I used Tinkercad. I really wanted to make something with moving parts that could be printed in one print, so I thought a hinge would be a good thing to try. It is, of course, an exact replica of any standard fixed pin butt hinge you'll find your house doors hanging on. 3 Sizes: 100mm x 25mm 70mm x 25mm 70mm x 20mm It was requested that I add versions without holes, which are now available too. They print flat with a tolerance of 0.4 which I found was quite tight...

You bought two laundry baskets to separate and organize clean and dirty laundry... then you wonder which basket is which. Sure there are ways to figure out what needs to be cleaned but we deserve a simple visual indicator to know whether to have them folded or tossed into the machine. This is a single print slider and no needing for assembly. Please make sure to print the object up-right (the letters are facing horizontally) to have the inner piece printed correctly. Once printed, the slider...

Because of space reasons I designed a Shelf for my Anycubic Photon S to put it on the wall. I wanted to make it really sturdy to make sure it could hold a lot of weight. It has been tested to hold up to 30kg of weight before I ran out of weights to put on it. I figured that was enough. I also made it so it can print supportless and to fit precisely on a prusa buildplate, but for smaller printers I made a multi part version. Print it at the layerhight you choose, but I went for 0,2 as it...

A fully functional single print Turbo !! The current turbo version is a V3 and I feel like I've reached a point where I can share this with others. The status is set to WIP as I do plan on releasing a few more versions, maybe even a assembly version with bearings and much higher efficiency. Always open to suggestions, improvements and such, I design such things for education purposes. I will be uploading a STL shortly to print before the turbo to test your printer's clearance to ensure success....

This is a 'remix' of: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3602721 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4889240 I liked both ideas, especially the single file print with multiple colors of KiwiFil. Inspired by both two artworks, I designed this version (the dog-edition) from scratch more as a joke, because we have a lot of dogs so we have to watch out sometimes where we walk for their '3D prints' ;). Print at your own risk! I would suggest using a raft, printing without supports, and having a well leveled bed before attempting to print this. The goal was to design a single-print double bearing fidget spinner, but the spacing may make it impossible to function right. Temper expectations before printing! This is experimental.

Simple sideways tablet holder for Mavic Pro remote controller. Next version will include charge port hole for vertical tablet mount. "Full" STL is a simpler print (print sideways to avoid using any support material) and "sparse" versions (untested) requires a little bit of support towards the top if oriented on its side -- set maximum overhang to 50 deg. to avoid unnecessary support for the internal structure (which is tilted 45 deg.). Highly suggest lining the inner walls...

A parametric drawer with an optional handle that holds slim items such as smartphones. Fits inside the rectangular storage gap above the radio in the dashboard of a Fiat Panda 169 (built between 2003 and 2012). The default handle gap size of 11 mm should be a snug fit for a typical cased smartphone, but if your phone is thicker or thinner, this model is fully customizable in OpenSCAD. You can also disable the handle in case you simply want to cover that awkward gap in the dashboard. The bespoke...

I needed some push-up bars that would grip my carpet while exercising. I was doing push-ups normally but having my hands flat on the ground were hurting my wrists. Not going to lie I was worried about the strength of these things but I was able to do a push-up with both hands on one bar in the center with no discernible flexing, at 40% infill (I weigh about 250lbs). Note that at 40% infill they take a little while to print out but it prints easy without supports.

Thanks to @Kemmotar for the excellent design of the original. I made a few different sizes, and decided to put my Ender Extender kit to work. The result is marvelous. 30% Infill was used here, in Cubic Subdivision arrangement. I only did two bottom layers and two top layers, and a single wall width. Now, keep in mind, you'll need to double those numbers if you're using a normal 0.4mm nozzle; I was using a 0.8mm nozzle, so a "single wall" for me is 0.8mm, not 0.4mm. I printed in 0.4mm...

A small hinge I designed in Fusion 360 to test my Ender 3. This print is designed for 0.2mm layer heights and the vertical gaps between the parts are 1 layer, so 0.2mm. This is a work in progress. I have not yet printed this. I designed this in AutoCAD during a slow day at work. I based this loosely on a EK9 Civic Type R but AutoCAD is not the best when it come to modeling cars. It should print all in one print with moving wheels. It may need to have the scale adjusted. Just a very simple ball bearing, still with minor imperfections. Works quite well for my first mechanical design. When building, supports should be added only to the balls to keep them in place, because the contact area on the first layers will otherwise be too small and thus the first layers might lose adhesion and ruin the build.

# A simple single piece Spool Holder There are tons of spool holders to find on the internet. But i wanted one that was simple to use without moving parts. So i designed my own. It isn't the most beautiful spool holder but it works great. **This spool holder works for spools of 80mm with and 200mm diameter. A bit larger might work, but that is not tested. It also works with smaller spools.** This spool holder is designed to be simple in use and simple to print with not too much filament. On my...

I have looked around the internet for some single part N64 Cartridge stands that keeps the label visible so that you can quickly see the game you are looking to play. I could not find any that solved that problem so I decided I would make one. Currently I only have eight N64 games so I just made two stands that hold 4 cartridges each. I have created 5 and 6 cart versions but I have not tested these out and they probably will take a long time to print. I have also uploaded the .prt files which...

This is a print in place box! No need to assemble it, just print it and use it! Please see the release video, there is some useful info, and a better look at the box in it: https://youtu.be/eFSzj8m3s70 You can find the more "authentic" but assembly requiring box inspired by the movie Mulholland drive here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3660543 Try printing the test piece first, to make sure you can print all the hinges and locking mechanism, if it doesn't work at first, try...

Just testing out a Blender->STL->Print workflow. Made a quick asymmetrical little box in Blender. Will print updates to this as I actually print and learn stuff about it.

Simple ankle boot with an open heel and diamond tread pattern. Shoes are scalable but created to fit a 7.5/8 women's size. Fits into a Dremel 3d45 Idea Builder, single part print does not need support structures but recommend plate adhesive. Takes about 17 hours to make.

Please take a 2 min survey to help us know how we can offer more models like this! https://goo.gl/forms/MiyWYwno927Wb4TH2 This two degree-of-freedom pointer device uses compliant mechanism technology to obtain its motion. It was developed by the BYU Compliant Mechanisms Research group (compliantmechanisms.byu.edu), under a grant from NASA. 3 versions of the device are included: the original file used in the metal prototype, and two modified versions for FDM printing with an improved output...
