practice and that of my companions,

One sign about the advent of the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him. had 
been men i toned (hat Dajjal would emerge at lhai time. Thus according to a 
Tradition, the Holy Prophet, peare and blessings of Allah be upon him. 
addressing his companions. Said;- "There has not been a Prophet who did nut 
forewarn tils eimnnunity about an one-eyed liar. Beware and hearken 
attentively that he has only one eye but your Lord Is not a one-eyed one. The: 
letter "K,F,R" will be seen Inscribed between his eyes, and according n> a 
Tradition, he will btltlg silongwith him the like of Heaven and Hell. But the 
thing which he will call Heaven will actually be Hell. And there is another 
Tradition to the effect that Da [fa I will emerge and that he will be accompanied

with walcr and fire; but that thing which will appear to the people as waler. 
will be actually the flrt which burn*, and the thing which people will regard 
as fire, will be cool and sweet water. And one eye of Dajjal will be depressed 
ami there will hi- a kind of a bi^ mark over it unci there will be inscribed 
1 KAFIR be* ween his eyes which every believer will be able to read whether 
he 3s literate or illiterate. And according to another Tradition, I3a|]al will tStf 
blind in his right eye. Hi us, when any one of you happen to find him, you 
should recite the flrat verses of surah Al-Kahf because these first verses of 
Surah AlKcihl will make you safe from hift mischief. There is another 
Tradition, which says, that Dajjal will command the sky i.e. the clouds to pour 
rain and (he sky will pour rain. And he will command land lo grow food and 
gfee will grow loncl, and he will pass through over the ruins and command 
them t6 bring forth Ms treasures, and its treasures will come forth and start 
following him. And there is u Tradition thai Dajjal will say to the people lhat If 
I were to slay a person and then curse Mm to come alive, then will you 
enicrrtain any doubt about this matter of mine The people will reply No'. 
Then be will kill him and then revive him again. And another Tradition says 
that he will have a mountain of bread and a canal of water. And (here Is a 
Tradition ibal Dat|al will appear sitting on $ shining ass and that ass will be 
sueh that there will be a distance Of 70 feet between his two ears.
